The multi-file transfer (MFT) market is evolving, and with it, a strong trend is emerging: that of "all-in-one" solutions. Today, many players are integrating EDI, ETL, or data processing components into their offerings. Faced with this increasing hybridization, it seemed essential to us at Waarp to reaffirm our vision and explain why we are choosing a different path.

Cultivating our core business: file transfer

It's tempting to add more features to cover the entire data chain. However, we remain convinced that a solution gains reliability when it focuses on its primary mission.

While current offerings tend towards hybrid services, we prefer to focus our efforts on the transfer infrastructure. This approach allows us to guarantee the robustness and security that only a dedicated solution can provide. Our role is to ensure that your files circulate efficiently, securely, and traceably, without adding unnecessary complexity or data processing dependencies.

By remaining an MFT specialist, we offer a lightweight and predictable engine, designed to integrate perfectly into your architectures without adding unnecessary weight.

Open Source: a technical reality, not just a word

We are also aware that the Open Source argument has sometimes lost its clarity by being used as a mere marketing label. At Waarp, we want this commitment to be concrete, verifiable, and above all, synonymous with a living project.

We are not asking you to take our word for it; we prefer to provide evidence of our activity:

  • Transparent development: Our GitLab workflows are open to everyone. The regularity of our commits, the frequency of our releases, and the public management of issues are the best indicators of the health of our tools.

  • The proof is in the pudding: By making our code and metrics accessible, we allow technical teams to validate the vitality of the project and the responsiveness of our teams before even considering a collaboration.

A clear positioning to meet real needs

We don't aim to be the universal solution for all data uses. However, if your priority is to have a high-performance, auditable, and sovereign file transfer engine, we put all our expertise at your service.

Our model is based on this balance: a robust and transparent Open Source technology base, combined with professional support and services to secure your most critical production deployments.
